 Twice a year, the Harbor Springs Library raises money for our operations budget through used book sales. We will be having a sale starting December 2nd and ending on December 8th.

 

 Used books for sale will be displayed on tables throughout the library!

Hard Covers $2

The Harbor Springs Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. Funds raised from the book sale will go toward annual operating costs of offering free modern library resources to the community.

The iconic brick Earl Mead-designed Harbor Springs Library building has stood as an anchor on Main St. and South Spring St. since 1908 and is in need of restoration and repairs! We are raising money to address needs such as brick repair, new wooden windows, a new elevator, and upgrading our entryway.


Items available for the auction included locally crafted goods, locally grown goods, and many gift cards to local stores and restaurants!

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book

 

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book will happen September 27-29, 2024!

 

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book is a three-day event held in various venues around downtown Harbor Springs in which authors from around the world converge to offer workshops, readings, and discussions. The library is often involved as an event venue, holding children's story times and various other author readings.

 

In preparation for the festival, we've created a shelf of authors coming to the HSFOTB this year.
