Passport to Reading

"Passport to Reading" is a reading challenge for elementary- and middle school- aged children, taking you to faraway and exotic places through books!

IMG 4499

Participating children will be given a "passport" to fill in. Choose a book from each of the seven continents and come into the Harbor Springs Library to get a stamp after reading each one and writing a few sentences about what you've learned in your passport. After reading all seven books, bring your completed passport into the library to receive a prize!

We've created lists of suggested elementary/middle school-aged fiction and nonfiction books that we have here at the Harbor Springs Library but please feel free to read anything and everything from around the world! We just ask that each continent is represented in your passport.

Again, please feel free to choose your own books from around the world. The Magic Treehouse Series and Secret Agent Jack Stalwart are great series for this challenge!
